When you complete a work order, a purchase order or a payroll entry, Aragro has already used that data: it moved inventory, calculated costs by field and activity, and fed payroll and reports. That is why completed documents **can't be edited**. They are corrected in a way that keeps a record of what happened.

## The two tools

- **Revert** cancels the document and undoes its effects (for example, inputs go back to the warehouse). The original stays in the history as reverted, so you can always see what changed.
- **Duplicate** creates a new copy of the document, as a draft, so you can correct it and complete it again without retyping everything.

The general rule is: **revert the original and duplicate it to correct it**.

## Correct a work order

1. Open the completed work order and choose **Revert** from its actions.
2. Duplicate the reverted order.
3. In the copy, fix what's needed (workers, hours, progress, inputs, fields) and complete it again.

If the order is still in **Draft** or **In Progress**, you don't need to revert: edit or cancel it directly. See [Work order](/en/work-order-guide/).

### Changing a worker's salary

When you change an employee's salary, the change applies to **future work orders**. If an already completed order needs the new salary, revert it and duplicate it: the copy uses the updated salary.

## Correct a purchase

- **If the purchase's inputs haven't been used yet**, revert the purchase order and record it again correctly.
- **If the product was already consumed in work orders**, Aragro may block reverting the purchase or those orders. You have two paths:
  1. **Inventory adjustment:** adjust the wrong quantity (for example, to zero) with a comment explaining the error, and record the correct purchase. This is the fastest. See [Inventory adjustments](/en/inventory-adjustments/).
  2. **Full reversal:** revert the work orders that used the product, then the purchase, fix it and record everything again. It is more work, but it keeps the exact history.

If you're not sure which one fits, write to us before reverting several orders.

## Correct a payroll

- **Draft entry:** fix the work orders or formulas and click **Generate Payroll** again.
- **Completed entry:** revert it (requires permission). It moves to **Reverted**, not Draft. Fix what's needed and generate a new entry for the period.

Always check the name before completing: a completed entry can't be renamed. More in [Run payroll and print pay stubs](/en/run-payroll/).

## Before you revert

- **Work in reverse order.** If a payroll uses a work order, revert the payroll first; if a work order uses an input from a purchase, revert the work order first.
- **Check closed periods.** If accounting for that period is already closed, Aragro may reject the reversal. Read the message and contact support.
- **Leave a comment** explaining why you're correcting it. It helps your team and any audit.
